Helping our independent school and higher ed clients grow enrollment, retention, and fundraising is why we get up in the morning!  But we do have to admit that we love when our creative work gets media attention, too.

Here’s a round up of the EdwardsCo work making headlines…

EdwardsCo Virtual Student Experience Taking VR Beyond the Campus Tour

virtual-reality-college-viewerEdwardsCo client Skidmore College recently became the first college in the country to create a virtual student experience for prospective students.

We worked with the college to design a cardboard viewer (pictured right) to include in the acceptance package, as well as produced a three-minute virtual reality experience.

As Luke Meyers, Director of Marketing and Engagement at Skidmore, told VRScout, “this was a chance to answer one of the top questions accepted candidates ask, which is what is it like to be a Skidmore student when I’m not in class? Why not use something like 360VR to bring Skidmore student life to the accepted candidate?”

Meanwhile, another EdwardsCo client Kent School became the first boarding school in the country to create a virtual student experience.  Like Skidmore, Kent include a box viewer with instructions to watch the 360VR in the acceptance package (pictured below).

Kent’s VR offers prospective students the opportunity to immerse themselves in one of the most compelling aspects of attending the boarding school – the residential environment.
